Taproom Visit: Bootleggers Brewery

I have been meaning to check out one of the newest breweries in Orange County; Bootleggers, for a while now, but I never had an open Friday to pay them a visit. Recently they started opening their Taproom on Saturdays too, so a couple Society members and I ventured out there last weekend to see what was what…
Across the board their offerings where nice and true to their styles- I only found one that I had issues with, but since it was a limited release I won’t mention it by name.
What was on tap:
*Old World Hefeweizen (Bav Hefe)
*Golden Chaos (Belgian-style Golden Ale)
*Palomino (Pale Ale)
*Hopinator (IPA)
*Rustic Rye (Rye IPA)
*Amber (Alt Ale)
*Black Phoenix (Stout) : This Limited Release was made with real coffee and smoked chipotle and unlike most chipotle beers I have had, this one is VERY nicely balanced and I highly recommend it!
*Pumpkin Ale (Pumpkin Ale)
*Winter Ale (Spiced Ale)
We where also given the opportunity to sample two different barrel-aged versions of Golden Chaos that where pretty damn good and when they, along with the Black Phoenix, are bottled I plan to make sure I add all three to my personal collection for long-term storage.
They are in Fullerton, so if you have a chance check out their website to get directions [http://www.bootleggersbrewery.com] and head over to sample what they have to offer and keep and eye on these guys because I think they are on the right track.
